Here's the final word on Puerto Rico - it's a lot like America only with horses pretty much everywhere. Meaning in the alley behind restaurants, on the highway, in the Wal-Mart parking lot...
For example, here's how a conversation went:
Cathy, "um guys, I don't mean to sound crazy but a horse just galloped by in the alley behind you." (We were eating in an open air restaurant.")
Cathy, "um guys, I don't mean to sound crazy but a horse just galloped by in the alley behind you." (We were eating in an open air restaurant.")
Everyone with their backs to the alley, "what?"
Cathy, "no really - a horse - it galloped. By us. Just now."
Cathy, "no really - a horse - it galloped. By us. Just now."

Also, a lot less people speak English than we realized. I know - duh. We wanted our cake and to eat it to on this one. You are going to have to take my word for this - but imagine trying to order through a drive-through in English with someone who only speaks Spanish - and laugh your heads off. Cause that's what it disintegrated into by the time we got to the pay window.
