We wandered outside of Lalibela in search of a church-cave that had reported religious signifigance. But the report back is ... watch where you step. Think "more bats" and "less religious worshippers" and you have a pretty good idea of what we wandered into.
On other notes - at the end of the day, after seeing rural Africa to and from the (bat)church-cave, Susan said, "I used to wonder what it would be like to live in the olden days. Now I know that I wouldn't like it."
