Keeping Up Appearances

Today I had the following conversation:

• A [Nigerian] colleague, “are you tired?” 
• My response, “yes.”
• Her reply, “ohhh I could tell because your hair is so messy.”

Fair enough, it was.  

But let me reference earlier post about said dirty water.  Have you ever tried to clean with dirt?  Not a recommended industry best practice as it results in, essentially and eventually, messy hair.

Also, in my defense, I don’t have the option of: weaves, wigs, hats, shaved heads, head scarves or any combination of the aforementioned add-ons.
