Scarcity

Econ 110.  Professor Wimmer.  Fall 1996, I believe.

Mostly I sat in the back and read "The Daily Universe".  But, I do remember something or other about how scarcity of resources drives up prices and generates demand and hoarding-like behavior and so on and so forth.

And here I am in a country where, even if I COULD drink the water, I can't - it's brown.  And of other things that I've learned?  It's that water should be see-through and full of cholorine and perservatives and other who-knows-what-else-BUT-STILL-UNSEEN-stuff like that.

So, here I am ... hoarding water.  Every time I see a bottle sitting around in the training room I procure it because I MIGHT need it.  You know??

I think I'll raise a glass to Wimmer.
